Journal of Hand, Upper Limb, MicrosurgeryAbstract
Welcome to the first issue of Journal of Hand, Upper Limb, and Microsurgery (JHUM), our contribution to continuing education in this field. This journal is a part of Indonesian Association for Hand, Upper Limb, and Reconstructive Microsurgery project to encourage the development of research and scientific paper writing, while providing the latest trend in hand, upper limb, and microsurgery. With such a large population, it is unsurprising that different treating surgeons in Indonesia have developed a wide array of cases and approaches. Hand surgery in Indonesia has grown rapidly, not only in the field of microsurgery where Prof. Djoko Roeshadi, dr. Erwin Ramawan, and dr. Heri Suroto have laid a solid basis, but also in the development of modern and advanced hand surgery (fixation technique, minimally invasive, and arthroscopic surgery) particularly by the other hand surgeons who are concerned and committed to the development of hand surgery service and education in Indonesia.
